MIHAI GHIMPU PRESENTED NEW DIRECTORS OF ANRE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD (Press Release)
Today, January 12, Mihai Ghimpu, Parliament Speaker and acting President of the Republic of Moldova, presented to the staff of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) the new directors of ANRE Administrative Board, appointed by Parliament Decision no. 140-XVIII, dated December 29, 2009, published today in the Official Gazette.
According to the mentioned Decision, Victor Parlicov was appointed Director General of ANRE Administrative Board for a 6-year term of office. Mariana Botezatu and Marin Profir were appointed Directors for 4-years terms of office and Leonid Belinschi and Nicolae Raileanu – for 2-year terms of office.
Presenting the newly-appointed Directors, Mihai Ghimpu said that the new ANRE administration and its staff were well aware of the existing problems in the energy sector, which fact would allow them to restore order in this very important sector of the national economy. „You do have the necessary capacity and professionalism to do it,” the Speaker mentioned. He wished the directors success, expressing his full confidence that they would efficiently work together with ANRE staff and with all the operators of the energy market.
The new Director General of ANRE Administrative Board, Victor Parlicov, is 31. He graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Faculty of International Economic Relations. Before his appointment in the new position, in 2008 – 2009 he worked as project manager and economic expert for the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives IDIS „Viitorul”.
Mariana Botezatu has over 15 years experience in a number of international programs and projects management, provision of consultancy services, economic development, financial analysis and administration of risks. Marin Profir is an electric engineer. In the timeframe 2000 – 2003 he acted as Director of ANRE Administrative Board and since 2003 to his new appointment – as ANRE Executive Director.
Leonid Belinschi is a thermo-energetic engineer, with over 33 years of work experience at Thermal-Electric Power Station no.1 (CET -1) from Chisinau. Since 1999 to his new appointment he worked as chief engineer of this company. Nicolae Raileanu is a lawyer with over 35 years of experience. For the last 9 elections he was engaged in election bodies.
